In 1990 Sandra, Judy and their team opened Alta Moda.  Born and raised in Edmonton, Sandra realized at a very young age that cutting, colouring and styling were her passion. Sandra has taken numerous classes from Joico, Matrix, Tony and Guy, Martin Parsons, Kevin Murphy and Unite. She is one of 3 American Board Certified Colourists in Canada. Her dedication to learning has made her continue to grow as a stylist. Sandra derives inspiration from the fashion and art world; Chanel, Armani , and Claude Monet are some of her favorites. Sandra’s goal for her clients is to enhance their natural beauty by considering skin tone, eye colour , facial structure, life style and their own fashion sense.

Judy
Co-Owner/Stylist

Judy has been a hairstylist longer than she wants to admit. She trained in England and has worked in the Oliver area since emigrating from the UK. Judy has worked in theatre for many years and is currently head of wigs at The Edmonton Opera. She loves to share her knowledge and has taught at NAIT and Edmonton Public  Schools. Judy follows her passion for hairstyling by attending workshops and classes to keep her skills current. Working at alta moda, she feels part of a wonderful team,  with great clients.

Gina
Senior Stylist &Colorist

Gina began her styling career in 1983,  joining alta moda in 2010.  She has developed her skills in hairstyling and makeup artistry by continually attending classes and seminars.  Her passion is working with people, and choosing products that are environmentally friendly and free of harmful ingredients.  She  offers  her clients the entire package.

Amerigo
Senior Stylist & Colorist

Amerigo Bruno  is known as an expert hairstylist. With over 25 years of experience , his passion for hair has fueled him to accomplish many notable goals.  In March 2009, Amerigo's  reputation reached international status when the American Board of Certified Haircolorists appointed him a “Master Haircolorist”. To achieve this goal, one must be a licensed hairstylist and pass an extensive exam that covers chemistry, physiology and psychological aspects of hair color. As a lifelong learner, Amerigo travels extensively to learn new techniques and keep up with today's ever changing trends. Amerigo is continually asked to teach at his Alma Mater;  Est-elle Academy of hair design." I enjoy giving back the knowledge that I've learned".

For Terry it’s the passion for his craft, and the involvement with his clients that has kept him in the hair business for over 37 years.  Having trained under graduates of the Sassoon system, the cut is the thing!

Being attentive to her clients needs and providing them with great service is at the top of Maria’s list. She loves this industry today as much as she did when she started in 1976. Building strong connections with her clients and helping them express their personalities through their appearance is very important to Maria. She wants to continue providing her clients with quality work and have all her clients old and new looking and feeling their best.
